Kia ora koutou,
HPSS is a closed campus which means that students may not leave the school grounds at any time of the day. If they are required to leave for an appointment which can not be scheduled outside of school time we require prior notification by a parent. Students may not leave during breaks to visit the shops etc.
Want to keep up to date with what is going on at HPSS? As well as downloading our new School App, we encourage all of our students, parents and whānau to join our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter.

VEHICLES THAT STUDENTS DRIVE TO SCHOOL
We now have more students who are licensed to drive. All students who wish to drive their own vehicle to school must complete a Student vehicle use form. This includes a commitment to following all regulations in relation to their licence. Carrying other students as passengers is not permitted.
This is the main way that we send out messages and alerts. So we encourage all students, parents and caregivers to have it downloaded and ready for the new school year!
App: you can download the ‘SchoolAppsNZ’ app for free from the App Store and select ‘Hobsonville Point Secondary’
It includes a handy calendar, student notices and an absences messenger. Just download it and select the alerts that you want.
Pick Up/Drop Off Zone’ Before & After School:
The ‘Pick up/Drop off Zone’ is in the carpark
off Nugget Ave (shown with blue arrows below).
Students are not to be dropped off or picked up anywhere along the laneway off Hobsonville Point Road (entry shown with red cross below) unless they are part of the Arohanui Unit, are in a wheelchair or are on crutches.
All lost school uniform, electronics, phones, watches, keys, jewellery, cards and glasses are locked in the administration area. Students just need to ask at reception and we can check if their items have been handed in.
If school uniform is named on the label however, the student will be emailed &/or called down to collect it when it is handed in. So naming uniform items is very important and assists a return.
For lost plain clothing, shoes, lunch containers, drink bottles, pencil cases, laptop bags & cases etc.. these can be found in the ‘Lost Property’ box in student services (near the sick bay).
