EXCELLENCE - BUSY FUN IN HEALTH, OUTDOOR & PHYSICAL EDUCATIONThis term, we've immersed ourselves in the spirit of Matariki through a series of enriching activities and adventures. From the excitement of kayaking and indoor rock climbing to the peaceful exploration of scenic landscapes during tramping trips, each outing has strengthened our students' connection with nature and with each other. In our senior PE courses, students have been actively engaged in studying anatomy and fitness training, preparing them for upcoming challenges next term. Simultaneously, our senior health classes have focused on essential topics such as nutrition, cooking skills, and the importance of communal kai-sharing, promoting holistic well-being among our students. Meanwhile, in our junior courses, we celebrated our cultural heritage through traditional sports such as Ki o Rahi, Tapu wai, and Poi Toa. The Year 9 Ki o Rahi tournament, in particular, was a highlight, bringing our students together in spirited competition and fostering a sense of community. These experiences represent just a glimpse into the rich tapestry of learning and personal growth that has defined our term of celebration and adventure.
